I have the honour to transmit herewith the document containing the observations of the Government of Colombia on the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the Office in Colombia (E/CN.4/1999/8), to be submitted to the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty_fifth session.
In accordance with chapter V, paragraph 11, of the Agreement on the establishment of the Office, I request you, on behalf of the Government of Colombia, to transmit the attached document to the Commission on Human Rights at the current session.
